Paste a listing address and get a straight answer, or browse every NYC condo the VA has reviewed. Built on the VA's public Condo Report for all five boroughs.
Source: VA Condo Report (public data), pulled October 12, 2026. The VA updates its list over time, so your lender always makes the final call. Co ops are not eligible for VA loans and won't appear here.
Approved. The VA accepted the condo project, so a VA loan can be used there (the unit and you still need to qualify).
Approved with conditions. Accepted, but with limits the VA spelled out. Ask the lender to pull the conditions before you make an offer.
Pending. A review was requested and isn't finished yet.
Rejected, suspended or deleted. A VA loan can't be used there right now.
Not listed. The building has never been reviewed. A lender, the builder or the condo association can ask the VA to review it, but it takes time, so plan for that.
No. VA loans work for condos on the approved list, plus houses and multi family homes you'll live in. Co ops don't qualify.
Many condos never finish the VA paperwork, or fall short on things like owner occupancy or the association's finances. It's usually about the building, not the unit.
No. It means the building is eligible. You still need your Certificate of Eligibility, lender approval and an appraisal on the unit.
As of October 12, 2026, the VA lists 136 condo projects in New York City as approved (including approved with conditions) out of 330 NYC projects it has reviewed. Brooklyn has 51 approved, Queens 40, Staten Island 21, Manhattan 15 and the Bronx 9. Fewer than half of the NYC condos the VA has looked at are approved, which is why checking the building first saves veterans a lot of wasted showings.
Tell me your budget and boroughs. I'll send you every unit currently for sale in a VA approved building, with the HOA and taxes, and connect you with a lender who does VA loans in NYC every day. No cost, no pressure.
I'll double check the status with a VA lender, pull the HOA and taxes, and show you what's actually for sale in approved buildings right now.
